Watch along here as I share exactly how I created this lovely card.

Stampin Up Perched In A Tree Bundle

This beautiful bundle includes both a stamp and die set. The stamps include the adorable bird, a branch, some texture stamps, and a few nice greetings. The die set includes outlines for the branch and bird, two leaves, and that amazing large die I used to create the background for today’s card. I’ve already used the big die a few times, and it’s a new favorite! You can see another card I made with it here.

Card Sample Techniques

Here’s an overview of how I created this card:

Background – Use the large die to cut from a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Use a sponge and white craft ink to apply ink to the trees and around the outside frame. Use a Versamark ink pad held upside down, and apply it directly to the entire pieces of cardstock. Sprinkle clear embossing powder over top, shake off excess, and heat set it with a heat tool.

Background for the Background – Use White Glimmer Paper to create the piece behind the trees. Use one piece measuring 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″. Add more layers that have been torn across the top edge to look like snow drifts. Attach the tree die cut over the top of this piece.

Bird: Stamp with Gray Granite ink (or choose StazOn ink to avoid bleeding). Watercolor with Water Painters and Real Red and Gray Granite inks. Add Wink of Stella over top.

Branch: Stamp Gray Granite onto Snowy White Velvet paper, the die cut.

Leaves: Cut from Rose Gold specialty paper.
