This month’s Paper Pumpkin kit was another home run hitter in my book. These monthly craft subscription kits have been amazing lately, and I can’t wait to receive my August kit! This month’s theme was Summer Nights. Take a look at my July 2020 Paper Pumpkin alternatives and project ideas!
The kit came with materials for nine postcards and envelopes, and also cute little bags that can be used to hold treats or as luminaries. Look at all the fun summery things included, like fireflies, mason jars, a ferris wheel, and fireworks!
I turned many of the postcards into regular cards by placing them on the front of a card base.
Add On Kit
Paper Pumpkin kits always include extra die cuts, embellishments, and other pieces, but this month’s was over the top! We received a ton of extras, and I used a few of mine to make a scrapbook page and more cards. Stampin Up is also offering an add-on kit this month. It includes 20 extra card bases. What a great way to get more use out of this kit! Here are some of my extra projects…
A card using one of the luminary bags
A different card using the ferris wheel die cut
A lovely summery scrapbook page with a pocket for memorabilia
In this video I’ll share how to make these projects and I’ll show my alternative ideas up a little closer. Join in and watch along!
