A Floral Thank You Card

Sharing is caring!

I’ve been posting so many fall and Christmas projects lately that today’s floral thank you card seems like a breath of fresh air! I love fall and I’m looking forward to Christmas, but the thought of spring and summer (and the bright colors that go along with those seasons) makes me smile, especially at this time of year.

I made today’s card for two different stamping challenges, MojoMonday and the ColourQ. You can see the sketch and colors I was working with below. Click on the pictures if you would like to visit their pages to check out the challenges along with other entries.

A Floral Thank You Card - Garden in Bloom and Cottage Greetings stamp sets Stampin' Up!I started by focusing on the color challenge and looking for some designer series paper that matched the colors given. I will admit that I dug the background paper out of my retired paper assortment. If you love it, sorry 🙁 it’s gone now. We do have a current paper pack called English Garden that is similar, however. On top of the designer paper, I attached some of our Winter Wonderland designer vellum. I used a little more designer paper and stamped the large flowers onto the tag using the Garden in Bloom stamp set. I added a couple of finishing details and called it done!A Floral Thank You Card - Garden in Bloom and Cottage Greetings stamp sets Stampin' Up!I hope this refreshed you a little bit like it did me!

This is such a pretty thank you card. I am always super impressed with people who can find the right patterned paper for a color challenge–and yours is perfect. Thanks so much for playing along at ColourQ.
