7 Vintage Card Techniques To Try Today!

I love cards that appear to be aged. I have always loved old things – old houses, old furniture, and antiques of all types, so maybe this explains why I simply love cards that appear to look old. Today I’m sharing seven techniques for creating cards that appear to be vintage. I created three card samples using several different techniques. Let’s take a look.

Aged Card #1

This card features a few techniques including stamping with the distressed words in the background, crumpling the paper, and blending ink over the top with blending brushes.

Distressed Card #2

This card features dry embossing using the Timeworn Type embossing folder, using blending brushes, and creating splatters with both stamps and a water painter.

Vintage Card #3

This card features dry embossing with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder, blending brushes, distressing with sandpaper, and using scissors to rough up the edges of the paper.
