I LOVE Tombow Glue

Before I share my tip, I want to share how much I LOVE Tombow glue. I use this stuff for everything. It is the glue I use 99.9% of the time for my paper crafting. It holds paper, buttons, ribbon, small pieces, large pieces…you name it. The reason I really, really, really love it is because it is extremely tacky, and it gets tacky quickly. I can put a few tiny spots of glue on the back of a detailed die cut, hold it on my project for a few seconds, and it’s already held in place. The same is true for bows. I’ll stick the bow on using a dab of glue, let it sit for a minute, give it another good press and it’s attached forever.

Quick Tip About Tombow Glue

Now for today’s tip. Most crafters use the fine tip on the bottle and don’t realize there’s a second tip…but there is.

There is a broad tip at the bottom of the bottle, that most people assume is just the base. It is the base, but it’s also another dispenser for spreading the glue over large surfaces.

The fine tip at the top is for fine, detailed applications and the bottom tip is for spreading the glue over large areas.

That’s it, pretty simple right? Comment at the bottom and let me know if you 1 – already knew this or 2 – just learned something!

Yep I knew that, but a good review! Also did you know that if you let it “dry” before glueing down, it becomes tacky like a sticky note? Save your strips that your glue dots come on, when they are gone, make more by using your tombow… just make little dots, and let them “dry” and they are as good as glue dots.. not quite as thin, but still work great!

Hi Anna! Good tip on the Tombow Glue! I do know about the broad tip on the bottle but I still just use the narrow tip. I do need to keep it in mind tho, as it would probably work better on some applications. Thanks for the reminder!

I’ve enjoyed all your tips and tricks. I did know there was a larger glue end on the TomBow but seldom use it. I’ll try to do better in the future.

I never paid attention to the broad tip, and had been using this glue for years on card making, then this December, I happened to notice the broad tip and thought hmmm….maybe sometime I will use this end of the glue, and see if that works for me vs. using my “tape runner”.
