#SimpleStamping

Stampin Up started the simple stamping movement to help provide simple ideas to beginners and anyone who likes to make quick, simple cards. I feel like it was also started to reign in all of us crazy demonstrators who love to make complicated, over the top projects. I’m laughing as I write this, because those of us who discover we love to stamp often get more and more involved and end up making crazy difficult and time-consuming projects…and we love every minute of it! But sometimes simple is best! Personally, I have been re-inspired to make and share simple projects at least once per week. I want to help new stampers get started with this type of project as well as help experienced stampers make a lot of cards quickly. It’s also a nice reminder to appreciate simple beauty.

Materials Needed

To make these cards you will need white cardstock, memento black ink, the Stampin Up Painted Poppies stamp set, and adhesive.  If you want the pretty shimmer accents on the flowers, you will also need white shimmer paint and a water painter.

Adding A Special Touch With Shimmer Paint

As mentioned in the video, I use shimmer paint and a water painter to add a special touch to some of the flowers.  All I did was pick up a small amount of shimmer paint with my water painter, then I painted it onto the desired areas with a carefree watercolor-like stroke.
Are you inspired to begin making cards? If so, the Painted Poppies stamp set is a wonderful set to include in your collection for quick and simple cards!
