Sharing is caring!

Greetings! Thank you for stopping in today to see this amazing new Stampin Up Butterfly Brilliance bundle! I love it when I get an email from Stampin Up stating they have some big news to share. I get excited at all the possibilities…new stamp sets, big deals and discounts, special releases, etc. So what’s the big news? Starting today and running through May 3rd, we have a special release bundle called Butterfly Brilliance. This collection is not available in any of our current catalogs, so you’ll want to get the info here. This is an absolutely beautiful bundle that you are going to want in your stamping collections, so let’s take a look!

First, let’s talk about what comes in this bundle.

Stampin Up Butterfly Brilliance Bundle

The Butterfly Brilliance collections consists of a stamp set, dies, designer series paper and specialty paper. Here’s some information about each product in this set, and you can order any or all of them using the links at the bottom.

Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set

I find this stamp set to be very unique. When looking at the picture on the front of the packaging, you’d never know that all six butterflies in this set are on one giant rubber stamp. It’s so neat and intricate with the designs on each butterfly. Due to its size, I recommend using either an F Block or Stamparatus to stamp when using this set.

Brilliant Wings Dies

Because the stamp set is one big stamp, the die too is one large outline die that aligns perfectly with the stamp. Another part of this die set that I’m excited about is the detailed overlay die for each butterfly. There is so much intricate detail added to the design of the butterflies with these dies.

Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper

The Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper includes 12 prints and 48 – 6″x6″ sheets of bright and beautiful designs. One side of the paper is printed with a butterfly pattern and the other side is printed with a more basic design.

Natural Touch Specialty Paper

This Specialty Paper is really neat. It actually has a woodgrain texture in the surface of the paper, and it has a slightly glossy sheen. If you decide to stamp on this paper, remember to allow time for it to dry (or use your heat tool) because of the sheen.

There is a 10% discount on the stamp and die set when you order this bundle, making the total for this entire collection only $71.25. I think that’s a great price for such an amazing bundle.

4 Ways to Use the Stampin Up Butterfly Brilliance Bundle

Next, let’s take a look at four different ways I’ve used the Stampin Up Butterfly Brilliance bundle.

1. Stamps Only

My daughter, aka stamp teacher in training, stamped the image on this card below. I love the simple elegance it gives off, especially paired with just a little color behind the greeting.

2. Dies Only

The detailed dies included with the Butterfly Brilliance bundle are so very detailed and intricate. As you can see in the sample below, the butterflies are so delicate and beautiful . I love how clean and crisp the white card turned out with the vellum butterflies on top.

3. Designer Series Paper & Dies

Using the designer series paper and dies together is a fun technique. One of the designer series prints matches up perfectly with the large butterfly die. With this technique, you’re able to cut out 6 detailed butterflies from the designer paper all at once using the Cut & Emboss Machine.

To get the full effect of the card pictured below, you’ll definitely want to check out my video. In the video, you’ll see that under the detailed butterfly, I created a shadow with the coordinating stamp, then cut that out with the detailed die. Not to flutter my own wings, but it turned out pretty neat 🙂

For this card below, I used the Natural Touch Specialty Paper for the background. I love the woodgrain look and the sheen it gives off.

The mint color in this designer paper is so pretty, and the flirty flamingo pink color accents its so well. Since they go so well together, I decided to add some pink twine behind the butterfly. Then I accented it with a greeting from my Many Messages bundle. *Tip: If you haven’t already visited my blog post about how you can create hundreds of tags in minutes with this bundle, I highly suggest checking it out.

4. Stamps & Dies

Next, let’s take a look at samples where I used stamps and dies together. In each of the samples below, I stamped the butterfly stamp with Memento Black Ink and cut it out with the large butterfly die.

I think this first card is my favorite I’ve made with this bundle. I colored the butterflies with Blends Alcohol Markers, then attached them with dimensionals. Oh happy day!

For this next sample, I used the Blends Markers again, then created a watercolor background. I love the soft muted colors of this card.

For my last sample. I crated a Gate Fold Card where the greeting and the butterfly open in opposite directions. Here, the butterfly is colored with the Blends Markers, and I added a die cut butterfly on top.

I have watched just about every video featuring the Brilliant Wings die set and
still would like very much to know how to use the non-butterfly dies that are included in the bundle. ie. the brick, dot and embossed bit. Do you know how they are used?
