Rising Star Trip Day 1

Sharing is caring!

All I have to say is, “Stampin’ Up!, where have you been my whole life?” I am so lucky to have found this company. I’ve been wishing I would have found it about 10 years sooner, but regardless, I’m just so glad to have found it now.

As a result of my performance during my first year as a demonstrator, I was very lucky to be named one of this past year’s Rising Star recipients. Here we were at the annual convention in July receiving our awards.

Rising Stars

One of the perks of being a Rising Star is a free trip to Salt Lake City to the Stampin’ Up! Home Office. Yesterday was Day 1 of the trip and I just have to share!

My connecting flight went through Denver. The scenery there was much prettier than when we landed in Salt Lake, so I’ll share that picture.

When I arrived at the airport, our driver for the week, Terri, was waiting for me with a beautiful sign with my name on it. I took a picture but it disappeared!

She dropped me off at the hotel, I was welcomed by Donna Griffith from the Stampin’ Up! Home Office who planned our trip, and then I headed up to my room. This was on my door!

Then, this was waiting for me inside!

I rested in my room for a bit, and then in the late afternoon, the six of us Rising Stars met in the lobby and chatted, chatted and chatted some more. There was a lot of idea sharing. Two and a half hours later, it was time to head to dinner. Donna hosted us in her lovely home. First she had a stamping project set up for us. Yay! I would love to show pictures but I’m not allowed! We got a sneak peek of some products that will be released in the 2016 Occasions Catalog (which are REALLY exciting) so I’ll have to keep them secret for a bit longer.

After stamping and some wonderfully delicious spinach dip, it was time for dinner. We walked upstairs to this beautiful setup.

Here was my place setting.

I couldn’t wait to open up that little treat bag on my plate, and this is what I found inside! So pretty!

Next it was time to eat up! Donna and her husband prepared a delicious dinner for us including salad, grilled green beans and lasagna. It was so good I stuffed myself!

If that wasn’t enough, dessert was gelato. I chose Black Cherry. Yummmm.

We also had a card swap which was a lot of fun. I’ll share pictures of the cards I received soon!

Our wonderful driver Terri brought us back to the hotel, we chatted a bit and then headed to our rooms because it had been a long day! I opened the door to my room, turned on the light and then half yelled, “Oh my gosh!” This beauty greeted me.

It coordinates perfectly with the lovely planner that I received in the mail about a month ago with all of my travel arrangements included. How cute is that?

I can’t wait to see what is in store for us the next two days! Check back and see!

If you plan to order, use hostess code HTHNWWZ3 and I will send you a free gift! Even better, sign up for stamp club and you will get free projects and free stamps!

Thank you! I was shocked that I actually did it. My team really helped me out! That’s awesome that you finished Stampin’ Start as a supervisor. I definitely did not achieve that! It took me most of my first year to get there. Good luck!
