Joyful Season Cardinal Christmas Card

Every stamper needs a bird in their collection of stamps! I love our Joyful Season stamp set that is in the current Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog. Isn’t this cardinal gorgeous?

One thing I love about this stamp set is that the bird can be a cardinal, blue jay, or lots of other kinds of birds depending on the colors you use. I’m adding it to my stamping ‘to do list’ to make up some sample birds of different colors to give you ideas.

To create the tile technique on this Christmas card, I first stamped the cardinal and branch onto a 3 x 4″ piece of whisper white cardstock. After it was stamped, I cut it into 1″ squares and mounted them to basic black cardstock. It took a little patience, but was very easy!
