Fall is here and so is the ICS blog hop in which we are all featuring some great fall projects! If you’re hopping in order, you should have arrived from Claudia’s blog. Last month was the first time I participated in the ICS Blog Hop and I was blown away by the beautiful projects that were featured. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with this month!

Fall is my favorite season of the year, so I was really excited to come up with a fun fall project. I decided on a card box and matching card set.

First let’s take a look at the card box. I used our Woodland embossing folder on the front, and I made the leaf using our Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and Leaflets dies. I have been using these three products a TON…they are some of my favorites in the holiday catalog.

I thought the gold thread, gold cording bow and gold doily gave it the right amount of elegance. The ‘Thanks’ embellishment comes from our Expressions Natural Elements pack.

When you open up the box, you can see the angled pockets and coordinating card set.

I had seen a card box like this a while back but I couldn’t find the instructions for it. I played around with it to come up with a pattern for the box itself. Here they are.

If you’re more of a visual learner, you can see how I made it in this video tutorial.

A card box with nothing to go inside doesn’t have much of a purpose, so here are the coordinating cards I made to go with it.

I used the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper pack (another favorite of mine) along with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set, Leaflets dies and more metallic doilies.
