Are you tired of stamping and it comes out crooked? Or having tilted greetings on your cards? I’m here today to share a few tips for how to line up stamps straight. I hope you’ll join in!
Crooked stamping is the problem! We all do it, even the ‘professionals’ who have been stamping for years. We don’t have to keep doing it though, so let’s solve the problem! It will save time and paper in the process.
I have tips for stamping straight using regular acrylic blocks and also with the Stamparatus. We will talk about using acrylic blocks first.
Using Acrylic Blocks
First, lay your stamp onto grid paper or a mat, and line it up straight with a gridline.
Place a block over top of the stamp. Line up the block straight with the gridlines, and lower the block onto the stamp to adhere.
Lay your paper straight with the gridlines. Ink your stamp. When stamping onto the paper, make sure the block edges are straight with the gridlines and edges of your paper.
Using The Stamparatus
Lay your stamp onto the base, aligning it straight with gridlines. You can do this on top of paper or directly on the platform base.
Rotate the clear plate over to pick up the stamp. Just before making contact with the stamp, make sure gridlines on the plate are straight with the words on the stamp.
After the stamps are adhered, check to make sure the stamps are straight with the gridlines.
Ink the stamps and stamp.
If you’re more of a visual learner, watch along below as I share these tips in today’s video!
I hope today’s post helped you learn how to line up stamps straight. Thanks for visiting!
