Hexagon Hive Butterfly Sympathy Card

I think I’m on a honeycomb kick. Why you ask? Yesterday’s card featured the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set and today’s looks like honeycomb! I finally broke out my Hexagon Hive thinlits die to create the fantastic background on this butterfly sympathy card. Do you like how it turned out?

The color combination on this card is different from my usual routine. I chose to use the Botanical Gardens designer series paper for the background and hexagon die cut, so I was working with Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow when I chose colors for the butterflies. I decided to go with Hello Honey, Pool Party and Mint Macaron.

I stamped the pretty butterflies using the Pappilon Potpourri stamp set and punched them out using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches. Lovely aren’t they?

The greetings on the inside and outside of the card come from the Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set. It is my favorite set for making sympathy cards. I cut out the greeting on the front using the Deco Labels framelits dies and my trusty Big Shot of course.
