It’s Day 6 of my 12 Days of DIY Gift Ideas, and today’s is another favorite! It’s handmade sugar scrub in adorable packaging, that will make your gift recipients feel special and pampered! Let’s talk about how to make it.

This DIY sugar scrub is such an amazing DIY gift idea. It's simple to make, inexpensive, and includes a personalized tag to make your loved ones smile.

DIY Sugar Scrub

Below you can see the basic recipe I used to make my sugar scrub. It includes:

1/3 cup to 2/3 cup coconut oil, depending on your preferred consistency
2 cups white sugar

Optional add-ins:

Essential Oils

Dried, crushed flower petals

Crushed, dehydrated fruit

Food coloring

Olive oil

Heat the coconut oil to soften, but not melt it. Then mix in the sugar and other desired ingredients by hand. I found it easiest to mix and knead it with my bare hands.

I wanted to make my scrub with strawberry scent, but I didn’t have any strawberry oil. I decided to use a combination of citrus oils. I found recipes that use crushed, dehydrated strawberries, and I want to try that next time!

Creating Your Sugar Scrub Tag

To create the adorable tag for this set, I used the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and punch, shown in the photo below. I also used a fun technique with my Stamparatus to make the stamping and punching go a little faster. Watch along with the video for more details.
