It’s here! The last day of my 12 Days of DIY Gift Ideas is upon us, and WOW, the last 12 days have gone fast. Christmas is approaching fast, and today I have another fun and personal gift idea for you to share with friends and family. This DIY tag kit is organized, it’s cute and it’s so fun to make. It contains all the makings for your recipient to make cute little handmade tags (including the adhesive). So, let me show you how to make this tag set using some basic tag punches, an acetate card box, Christmas greeting stamps and some ribbon!

How to Make the DIY Tag Kit

First, I’m going to show you how to make and fold the box.

Box Instructions

Materials:

  • Clear Acetate Box
  • Cardstock measuring:
    • 6 3/8″ x 7 5/8″ scored at 1/2″ and 1″ on all 4 sides
    • 5 5/8″ x 5 3/8″, scored on the 5 3/8″ side at 2 3/4″, 3 1/4″ and 3 3/4″
    • 2 3/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 1/2″, 3″, 3 1/2″, 4 1/2″, 5″, 5 1/2″, 6 1/4″, 6 3/4″, and 7 1/4″
    • 1 5/8″ x 6 5/8″, scored at 1 3/4″, 2 1/4″, 2 3/4″

Fold, cut and adhere each piece of cardstock according to the video instructions. Fold and insert each divider into box.

Next, make fixings for the tags to fill the gift box.

Tag Instructions

Using designer papers, punch tag bases using the Everyday Label Punch, Essential Tag Punch, and 2 1/4″ circle punch. Make greeting pieces using Stampin Up’s Classic Label Punch, Label Me Fancy Punch, 1 1/2″ Circle Punch and 1/2″ strips of white cardstock. Stamp tag greetings onto these pieces using the Stampin Up Wishes & Wonder, A Merry Hello and Banner Year Stamp Sets. Next, cut an assortment of 8″ ribbons.

Fill the box with tags and ribbon, slide into acetate box and adorn with a little gift tag!
