As you can see above, I have. It’s annoying. The woodgrain embossing folder is one I’ve had problems with many times. In our new Holiday Catalog, we have our first dynamic textured impressions embossing folder, which has extra potential to tear paper. It’s the Cable Knit embossing folder, and it’s shown below.

What exactly does it mean, that this folder is dynamic? It means that it’s going to create an extra-deep impression. The embossing folder itself is thicker, and the pattern is more pronounced. To run it through the Big Shot, you only use one cutting pad instead of the usual two because of the extra thickness of the folder.

When using the dynamic embossing folders, and even the regular ones at times, you may have problems with the paper tearing. To prevent your paper from tearing, simply fill a Stampin’ Spritzer with water, and lightly mist your paper.
